INTRODUCTION

Philosophy as a search and love of wisdom is quite wide with people having different views and opinion. Here we are presented with the question of, if we can philosophize without reading about the philosophers.
Before making an attempt to present my view on the question set before me, I will like to discuss briefly: the history of philosophy, what philosophy is all about, who a philosopher is, the early philosophers, how to do philosophy, the objective of philosophy, and what it means to philosophize.

CONCLUSION
That one is in love with wisdom and searches for truth and reality is not enough to make him or her, a philosopher. One really needs to know about other philosophers by reading about them and knowing about their time, their cultural background, how they lived their life, their philosophy and opposition etc. These, will really broading the persons horizon, make him or her aquinted with philosophy, and seeing things (reality) the way they really are.
For one to philosophize he/she has to be into philosophy; and for one to be into philosophy, he/she has to read about the philosophers.
No one can solve the problem of philosophy, this is just my view and contribution, and not a final answer to the question, “can philosophize without reading about the philosophers”.
